The Zmusic Song Evaluation Service is available for everyone, however we encourage writers seeking to sign a publishing contract to submit songs that have been professionally evaluated with encouraging indications of commercial potential. For example, members of NSAI (Nashville Songwriters Association International) could feel comfortable submitting songs that have been recommended by the professional song evaluation service.

We are a noted exception to the long standing rule of avoiding those in the music business who ask for a fee. With the exception of songs received from industry professionals, all songs are submitted through our ZMusic database for consideration at a onetime song evaluation fee of $35.00 per song.

Every submission will receive an educational song evaluation geared toward encouragement and mentoring and an explanation of our decision to accept or pass on the song. Songs with true commercial potential will be either be immediately accepted or if the song is close and requires a re-write to be accepted, the writer will have one opportunity to re-write the song and re-submit at no additional cost (by invitation only). If the re-submitted song is not pitch-ready, additional mentoring comments and suggestion may continue at the discretion of the Evaluator.

Select songs will be offered a standard 50/50 single-song contract, Zmusic will pay to record a high-quality demo of the song, and it will be placed in our catalog. The songs will be then be pitched in a true effort to make dreams come true. They will be presented by a team of Professional Song Pluggers to appropriate Recording Artists, Publishers, Labels, TV/Film Music Directors, etc. who are currently accepting material for upcoming projects. Our team of pluggers are responsible for numerous radio/commercial hit songs, placements in TV/Film, and have long standing relationships with the decision makers in town.

Song writers with Zmusic will also have opportunities to network by being introduced to each other and those with good performing skills will have opportunities to play live at our popular It's All About Zmusic house concerts where they can meet and rub elbows with some of the top songwriters in Nashville.
